How long does AI due diligence take?
Most AI DD engagements run 2-3 weeks.
Week 1 covers scoping and data access. We define the assessment boundaries, get into the data room, and start reviewing documentation. Week 2 is the deep-dive: model evaluation, data infrastructure testing, team interviews, and adoption analysis. The final days cover report writing and the executive briefing to your deal team and IC.
Timeline depends on two things: data room complexity and the number of AI systems we need to evaluate. A target with one production model is faster than one claiming twelve. We built this process for deal timelines, not consulting timelines.
