TLDR: It costs $39,900 in year one to implement Claude at a 10-person private credit firm and $61,000 at a 25-person fund, before support and internal time. Licenses are the small line: Claude Team seats cost $20 a person a month billed annually, so ten seats cost $2,400. Enterprise charges the same $20 a seat plus all usage at API rates, which a capped two-week pilot should measure first. WorkWise Solutions does the setup and training at published fixed prices: a $25,000 rollout for funds of up to 10 people and a $12,500 Credit-Team Intensive.

Budgeting Claude for a credit fund?

I'll price your fund's year one with you before you buy a seat. WorkWise Solutions sets Claude up through a fixed-price Claude rollout, from $25,000 for funds of 1 to 10 people to $40,000 for 61 to 150, and trains credit teams in a $12,500 Credit-Team Intensive on their own redacted work. I sell no licenses and take no referral fees, so the seat and usage lines come straight from Anthropic's price list.

1. The Short Answer

Implementing Claude at a 10-person private credit fund costs $39,900 in year one, and $61,000 at a 25-person fund, before ongoing support and your own people's time.

Licenses are the small line: ten Claude Team seats cost $2,400 a year. The rest is setup and training, priced at the fixed fees published by WorkWise Solutions, which also publishes this guide.

Usage on Claude Enterprise, billed at API rates, is the one line you can't price from a web page. Measure it first.

2. Licenses

Two of Anthropic's published plans fit a credit fund.

  • Team takes 2 to 150 members. A standard seat costs $25 a month, or $20 billed annually. A premium seat costs $100 a month billed annually and carries five times a standard seat's usage.
  • Enterprise costs $20 per seat per month billed annually, plus all usage at API rates, with a 20-seat minimum bought self-serve. It adds SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom retention and per-user spend limits.

A 10-person fund on Team pays 10 x $20 x 12 = $2,400 a year. Self-serve Enterprise would bill it for 20 seats, $4,800, before usage, so a fund that size belongs on Team unless someone needs the audit logs.

At 25 people, seats cost 25 x $20 x 12 = $6,000 on either plan. The choice turns on controls and on usage, which comes with a Team seat and is billed on top of an Enterprise one.

Personal Pro accounts at $17 a month billed annually run on consumer terms, where chats can train models unless each user opts out. Borrower files and MNPI belong on a business plan.

3. Usage on Enterprise

On Enterprise, the seat and the work are billed separately: Anthropic's billing article says all usage across the organization is billed together at API rates, whoever used it.

Rates are per million tokens, input and output, and vary by model (Anthropic's pricing docs): Opus 5.5 costs $4 and $20, Sonnet 5.5 $2 and $10, Fable 5.1 $10 and $50, and Haiku 5.5 from $0.10 and $0.50.

Credit work runs on long documents, such as credit agreements and quarterly borrower packages, and long documents and long conversations use more tokens.

Owners can cap the line with a spend limit for each user. US-only inference costs 1.1 times the standard rate.

Then measure. Give a pilot group two weeks of real credit work with the limits on, divide the usage bill by the people in it, and multiply by 26 for a yearly figure per person. If the pilot is your keenest analysts, treat the result as the high end.

Seats are a price. Usage is a measurement.

4. Setup and Training

Setup is the work between buying seats and trusting the team with borrower data: one page of data rules with MNPI and borrower confidentiality written down, the settings, the connectors, a starter skills library and the governance documentation an LP DDQ asks for.

An owner with admin experience and spare hours can do this in-house. Hired at the fixed prices this guide uses, setup costs $25,000 for funds of 1 to 10 people, $30,000 for 11 to 25, $35,000 for 26 to 60 and $40,000 for 61 to 150, over three to six weeks.

Training is what makes the seats pay. A Credit-Team Intensive runs three 2-hour sessions over two weeks for up to 12 people, on the fund's own redacted credit work: spreading, covenants, memos and portfolio risk.

It costs $12,500, plus six hours of each person's time. The guide to the best Claude skills for private credit firms lists the work to start with.

Skip the training and you still pay for the seats and the setup.

5. Two Worked Budgets

Year-one Claude budget for two credit funds. Seats at Anthropic's published annual prices, checked October 2026. Setup, training and support at the published prices of WorkWise Solutions, which publishes this guide. Plan choices are illustrative.
Cost line 10-person credit fund 25-person credit fund
Plan Team (self-serve Enterprise needs 20 seats) Team, or Enterprise for audit logs and the Compliance API
Seats, billed annually 10 x $20 x 12 = $2,400 25 x $20 x 12 = $6,000 on either plan
Usage Comes with Team seats Team: comes with the seat. Enterprise: API rates, estimated from a capped two-week pilot
Setup (the rollout, three to six weeks) $25,000 $30,000
Training $12,500: one Credit-Team Intensive, up to 12 people $25,000: two Credit-Team Intensives, up to 24 people
Ongoing support (optional) AI Operating Partner retainer from $10,000 a month AI Operating Partner retainer from $10,000 a month
Internal time An owner's hours, plus 6 hours a person An owner's hours, plus 6 hours a person
Year one before support and internal time $39,900 $61,000, plus usage on Enterprise

The 10-person fund fits in one cohort, so a single intensive trains everyone. If, as an assumption, two analysts spread financials in Claude all day on premium seats, seats cost 8 x $20 x 12 plus 2 x $100 x 12 = $4,320, and year one $41,820.

The 25-person fund trains its credit team in two cohorts of up to 12. On Enterprise, add the usage figure from the pilot.

In both budgets in the table, seats come to less than a tenth of year one.

6. Where to Start

This week, count who will use Claude in month one. Then work down the lines:

  1. Pick the plan, with the 20-seat minimum in mind.
  2. Price setup as an owner's hours or a fixed fee by fund size.
  3. Book training for the credit team, in cohorts of up to 12.
  4. On Enterprise, run the capped two-week pilot before you commit a usage budget.

The steps after the budget are in How to Implement Claude at a Private Credit Firm.

Where WorkWise fits

WorkWise Solutions, which publishes this guide, does the setup and training lines at fixed prices. The Claude rollout sets up Claude Team or Enterprise with borrower-data and MNPI rules, connectors, a starter skills library and the governance documentation, from $25,000 to $40,000 by fund size. The Credit-Team Intensive costs $12,500, and its fee credits in full toward any engagement of $25,000 or more booked within 90 days.

WorkWise sells no licenses, takes no referral fees and lists every other fee on its pricing page. Not a fit if you have an owner with the hours and admin experience to run setup in-house.

Key Takeaways
  • •Implementing Claude at a 10-person private credit fund costs $39,900 in year one: $2,400 of Team seats, a $25,000 setup and a $12,500 Credit-Team Intensive, before support and internal time.
  • •Claude Team costs $20 a seat a month billed annually for 2 to 150 members, so licenses are the smallest line in a credit fund's Claude budget.
  • •Claude Enterprise costs $20 per seat per month billed annually plus all usage at API rates, with a 20-seat minimum when bought self-serve, so a 10-person credit fund belongs on Team.
  • •At 25 people, Team and Enterprise seats both cost $6,000 a year, so the plan choice turns on controls such as audit logs and the Compliance API, and on usage.
  • •Estimate Enterprise usage from a two-week pilot with per-user spend limits on, then multiply the per-person cost by 26 for a yearly figure before committing a budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do Claude licenses cost for a credit fund?

Claude Team costs $20 per standard seat a month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly, for 2 to 150 members, so ten seats cost $2,400 a year. A premium seat costs $100 a month billed annually and carries five times a standard seat's usage. Claude Enterprise costs $20 per seat per month billed annually plus all usage at API rates, with a 20-seat minimum when bought self-serve, so a fund under 20 people usually belongs on Team. Personal Pro accounts run on consumer terms, where borrower data does not belong.

How is Claude Enterprise usage billed?

Claude Enterprise has two charges: a seat fee of $20 per user per month, billed annually with a 20-seat minimum when bought self-serve, and usage at API rates. Anthropic's Help Center says all usage across the organization is billed together at API rates, regardless of who consumed it. Rates are per million tokens and vary by model: Opus 5.5 costs $4 input and $20 output, Sonnet 5.5 $2 and $10, and Fable 5.1 $10 and $50. Long credit agreements use more tokens, so estimate the line from a two-week pilot with per-user spend limits on.

How much does a Claude consultant charge a private credit firm?

Ask any consultant for a fixed fee in writing before work starts. WorkWise Solutions publishes its prices: a Claude rollout costs $25,000 for funds of 1 to 10 people, $30,000 for 11 to 25, $35,000 for 26 to 60 and $40,000 for 61 to 150, over three to six weeks, and a Credit-Team Intensive costs $12,500 for up to 12 people on the fund's own redacted credit work. Ongoing support starts at $10,000 a month. Licenses come from Anthropic separately, since WorkWise sells none and takes no referral fees.
