What a Claude Rollout Sets Up
Six pieces, in this order. Each one is a decision someone at the firm would otherwise make by accident.
1. The plan decision
Team or Enterprise, which seats, and whether you also need the API. The deciding factor is usually audit and identity, not headcount. The trade-offs are in Claude Enterprise vs Team vs API.
2. Workspace and access
Sign-in through your identity provider where the plan supports it, roles, and Projects set up per deal team so one team's material is not another team's context.
3. Data rules
Deal-data segregation, MNPI rules, retention settings, and a short list of what never goes into Claude. Written so people follow it.
4. Connectors
The data room, document stores, CRM and fund admin, each scoped to the people who need it. Read access first, then more only where a workflow earns it.
5. Skills and champions
A starter skills library in your house formats (screening notes, diligence trackers, IC memo drafts) and up to three champions who can maintain it after we leave.
6. The governance file
An admin handbook plus the documentation an LP DDQ or an examiner asks for: settings, data rules, access, and who owns what.
